Job Summary
- The Radiology Technologist is responsible for operating radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images as directed by physicians and performing routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree in Radiology is required.
License/Certification/Registration
- A.R.R.T. registration
- IA permit to practice
- BLS is required within six months of employment.
- Completion of the Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
- Certification in one radiology modality. i.e. Mammo, CT, MRI is preferred.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 72 hours 2 weeks
- 8 or 9-hour days
- Starting times vary depending on shift rotation and call schedule
- Occasional weekend (Weekend call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
- Occasional holiday (Holiday call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
- Occasional call time (Call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
